Town and Village of Marcellus permits

The village Code Enforcement Officer reviews permit applications and plans, issues building permits and certificates of occupancy and compliance, and the same chapter requires a tree activity permit for work within the dripline of a public tree.
Outside the village, the Town of Marcellus requires a building permit for work that must conform to the Uniform Code or the Energy Code under its chapter 90, adopted as Local Law No. 4 of 2022 (town code, chapter 90). The village code office also publishes a deck construction guide for anyone planning a deck project.
